My latest hobby has been learning about digital painting, particularly to develop a concept art style so I can selfishly paint any science fiction or fantasy scene that I want. My college art courses left me with a conceptual understanding of drawing and painting, but the technical skill wasn't there. Art is a hard learned skill of observation and the best way forward is to produce an immense amount of work and practice, practice, practice.
Often times in my work only the final version is presented and I can hardly remember the process and steps to any given design. So I'm going to use this page to keep track of this unbound amount of practice and watch for progress in my skills.
My training is mostly coming from the excellent Cntl+Paint from Matt Kohr. These images are moving in chronological order, from when I first plugged my tablet to my more recent exercises and drawings.
